I have broad interests in the field of Information Security, especially in network security and cryptography

WORK EXPERIENCE

British Telecom, Adastral Park Research Centre, Ipswich, UK

Oct 2005-Dec2005


I was a research intern with the Information Security Research
Centre at BT, investigating network resilience as part of a project for the Defense Technology Centre. I developed an abstract simulation for a multi-agent based packet routing protocol and this led to significant intellectual property for BT and a possible patent is being explored.

At a purely technical level, the site runs on purely open source components; an Apache2 server with a PHP engine, Drupal as the content management system and a MySQL database.

COMMUNITY WORK

As a volunteer at M.B.K.G Pannai, a home for orphaned children and destitute women in India, my friends and I coordinated activities such as fund raising, organizing visits of students from my college, play sessions for the younger children and academic sessions for the older ones. I was involved with the project deeply for three years.

I was a Sunday volunteer at the OXFAM bookstore in Ipswich, UK.

HOBBIES

Currently, reading and digital photography occupy most of my spare time. I like to travel, taking photographs of my journeys. I occasionally like to go indoor rock climbing.
